Olivier Church

Olivier Church is in the Miragone Circuit a reasonable three hour drive from the guesthouse in Petionville.

The sanctuary was totally rebuilt after the 2010 Earthquake at a cost of $124,913.

An Education Center is currently under construction. $35,395 (2019) is required to complete the project. Although the Don Henderson team from Sugarland , Tx canceled their January 2020 trip, the work continues on the Education Center with local Haitian labor and should be completed by June 2020.

Water purification filter training has been conducted on an annual basis for 125 to 175 families each year.
Sewing classes established for the women provide an opportunity for the women in the village to learn a skill that allows them to sew for others and earn some income.
Classes have also been held to address Alcohol problems.

The Sugarland team plays an active role in worship with the Olivier Church congregation by preaching of the Word, holding Bible School for between 500 and 600 children in the village, facilitating the youth program by having the youth help lead the Bible School programs, funding has been provided for the youth to host their annual Christmas program for the entire Olivier Methodist Church, as well as providing funding for Miragone Circuit wide youth programs.

Olivier Education Center

The Olivier Education Center is located immediatley behind the Plivier Church. The Education Center is designed to be a multipurpose building to be used by the church and the community in general.
