Furcy is a small village near Kenscoff, 30 miles southeast of Port-au-Prince. At almost 5,000 feet in altitude, it is surprisingly cool.
There was minimum damage at Furcy from the 2010 Earthquake. Teams built a guesthouse and clinic at Furcy. Combined construction cost was $89,280.
Mountains of Hope is a not for profit organization helping to develop the community of Furcy.
Current projects at Furcy are continued support of the Furcy Clinic, the secondary school, establishing a microcredit system and developing the farmland at Furcy so that the community can become more sustainable.
