The primary project
Complete construction of the church at Arachaie.
Construction had begun prior to the earthquake but was interrupted by the quake.
Minor damage to the walls of the partially constructed church were repaired.
A concrete cap was added to the extended rear walls.
Steel girders and a roof were installed.
Finished caots were applied to the interior and exterior walls.
The floor and alter area were poured and finished.
Iron work in the windows was completed.
Ceramic tile was installed in the entire church.
A wooden platform and an exterior staircase was installed for the choir.
Church pews were completed and installed.
This phase of the project was completed Aprill 2011 and dedicated September 25, 2011.The cost of the primary project was $ 72,827.
The secondary project
Build a security wall (140′ by 105′) This phase of the project was completed September 2011 at a cost of $51,300.
Additional work
included building new latrines, a shower area, septic tank, cistern and a generator room at a cost of $ 48,540.
Future plans re for a Kitchen, depot, small guest rooms and a water well.
